Farm trade reform lies at the heart of the informal talks between ministers aimed at reaching basic deals in World Trade Organization negotiations before a window of opportunity closes in July.

Brazil's Lula May Meet Cuba's Castro

President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva's office said Friday that he is likely to meet President Fidel Castro, if the Cuban leader visits Brazil next week. The UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) is to meet Tuesday in Sao Paulo, but because Castro does not announce his travel plans in advance, the 12:10 pm (1510 GMT) meeting with Lula has not been confirmed.
