Kraft's Louis Rich Recalls Turkey Ham
The Denver Post

Kraft Foods Inc.'s
Louis Rich meat business recalled about 11,800 pounds of turkey ham
because some packages sold in the U.S. and abroad may be contaminated with
listeria, bacteria that can make people sick.
There have been no reports of illness, the company said in
a statement distributed by Business Wire. The products were
produced on Aug. 2 by the Kraft subsidiary, which is based in
Davenport, Iowa, according to a separate statement by the U.S.
Department of Agriculture.
Recalled products are 8-ounce Louis Rich Smoked Turkey Ham, with the
code date EA NOV 10 P2310, and 8-ounce Louis Rich Smoked Chopped
Turkey Ham, with the code date EA OCT 31T P2310 on the upper-right
corner on the front of the package.
Kraft Foods officials
said Albertson's was the only Colorado grocer that stocked the
turkey ham. 'All of that remaining product already has been pulled
from our shelves,' said Albertson's spokeswoman Jeannette Duwe. 'We
would encourage anyone who bought that product from our stores to
return it for a refund or a like product.'
She said Albertson's has not heard of anyone getting sick from the
meat.
Albertson's pulled the Louis Rich turkey ham from its
shelves immediately after the company issued a recall on Thursday,
Duwe said. The expiration date on the turkey ham was Saturday.v
