The House has approved a measure that would ban a controversial chemical from baby bottles, sippy cups and sports water bottles. The measure to ban bisphenol A was passed on a 76-21 vote Thursday and now heads to the Senate. The federal government says bisphenol A is safe in low doses, but supporters of the ban say even small doses may harm children.
