This comment is a joint response to Duke University Medical Center's Dr. Woodhall Stopford's findings after he was commissioned to review the results of analytical testing of HFCS samples for mercury and found "no quantifiable mercury". Dr, Woodhall was the only reviewer, there was no peer review process and he was paid by the Corn Refiners Association. Dr. Stopford also implied that because mercury is ubiquitous in the environment it is normal and natural food.
