Alternative World Water Forum
From March 11 to 17, 2012, IATP will participate in various events as part of the Alternative World Water Forum (FAME or Forum Alternatif Mondial de l’Eau), being held in Marseille, France, from March 14–17. This event is being organized by associations and movements, trade unions, NGOs, citizens and elected representatives from all over the world. IATP is a co-organizer of the CSO-govt. dialogue on March 12, and is involved in the planning several sessions and workshops around agriculture, climate and green economy/Rio+20 at FAME.
IATP will be represented by Shiney Varghese in several workshops including: The right to water and food security, Internationalisation of local water battles: Empowerment of local actors; Workshop on Climate and financialization; and a workshop on Water and Land in the Context of Climate Change.
