Crossing Over: A Mexican Family on the Migrant Trail

Join us for the next IATP book club! We'll have lively discussion of books on issues affecting fair trade, local food, sustainability, community and other topics around the food we eat and the people who grow it. The group meets on the third Tuesday of every other month. Everyone is welcome, and there's no commitment—come when the book appeals to you! The event is free to attend, but you'll need to provide your own book.

In January, we'll be reading Crossing Over: A Mexican Family on the Migrant Trail by Ruben Martinez. The role of immigrant workers in our food system is often hidden. In this book, we'll examine what brings them over the border and how their lives are affected, in the U.S. and at home.
