Jan. 28, 2008 -- A new industry group aims to give sustainable furniture manufacturers a shared platform for their marketing efforts. The just-launched Design Green Alliance purchases large blocks of exhibit space at furniture trade shows and conventions to create a ,green pavilion where buyers, designers, and other show attendees can learn about sustainability from leaders in the industry.

"The Design Green Alliance serves as a united front for sustainable manufacturers looking to increase their presence in the marketplace, says Tim Loveday, founder of the Design Green Alliance. "It's designed to give more marketing power to small and medium-sized companies."

Members of the Design Green Alliance benefit from the increased visibility that comes from being part of a trade show destination, according to Loveday. They also receive guidance on optimizing their marketing efforts, including professional advice on advertising campaigns, sourcing representation, and assistance in identifying target sales channels.

There is no cost for manufacturers to join the Design Green Alliance above what they would otherwise pay for their own trade show space.Sustainable Life Media
