Chair of the Qatari group responsible for organising the WTO's Third Ministerial Conference Sheik Hamad bin Faisal Al Thani told reporters on 1 May that Qatar will provide only 4,400 entry visas to persons accredited by the WTO to attend the Nov. 9-13 meeting in Doha, Qatar.

Sheik Hamad said that the emirate would not issue any additional visas to people seeking to attend the Ministerial, but added that, "Qatar will allow the organisation of peaceful demonstrations during the Ministerial meeting."
