Thousands of protesters gathered in central London yesterday to call for global trade rules that put people and the environment before profit. The 'Trade Justice Parade' illustrated concerns about unfair trade practices with floats, giant puppets and music ahead of the fourth ministerial World Trade Organisation conference which starts on Friday in Doha, Qatar. Britain will be represented there by Environment Minister Michael Meacher.The Observer:
