A group of persons interested in landscaping with native plants is forming a local chapter of "Wild Ones" in NE Minnesota to promote sustainable landscaping. Activities will include sharing information on how to create
a native landscape, especially as an alternative to unnecessary lawn area around homes, schools, or any other location that could benefit from the habitat created by a more environmentally-friendly approach. We may also get involved with plant salvage operations and may address
invasive non-natives like buckthorn.
