IATP.ORG Reports From Backstage

Minneapolis - The Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy (IATP) will report from backstage at Farm Aid this Saturday, including interviews with farmers around the country talking about the challenges they face.

Farm Aid (www.farmaid.org) will take place outside of Pittsburgh this year and feature Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, Neil Young, Dave Matthews, Kid Rock, and Lee Ann Womack among others. Many of these artists can be seen on the live, nationwide television broadcast on CMT: Country Music Television beginning at 5:00 P.M., ET.

Prior to, and during, the concert, farmers from around the country will gather to discuss a number of critical agriculture issues, including: analysis of the 2002 Farm Bill; fighting factory farms, sustainable agriculture models, and the struggles of dairy farmers.

Hear directly from farmers, and find out more about the issues behind the Farm Aid concert. A full collection of reports and interviews will be available after the event at: www.iatp.org
