World Food Day 2020 with Global Minnesota
On World Food Day 2020 (October 16), Global Minnesota is hosting a virtual conference on global food topics including: hunger relief, regenerative agriculture and sustainable development, food security and safety, the impacts of climate change, and more.
October 16 marks the founding of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), created in 1945. Each year on World Food Day, people around the world honor the important milestone of its founding.
During Global Minnesota's virtual conference, heads of international organizations, companies and trade associations — leaders in the global food system — will speak and present during the conference.
Presenters include two former IATP staff members Mark Muller and Alexandra Spieldoch and former IATP board member Víctor Suárez. Mark Ritchie, president of Global Minnesota and IATP's founder and former executive director, will welcome guests to the conference. To read the full list of speakers and presenters, see the list on Global Minnesota's event page.
