This document is the result of surveys conducted throughout the European Union. Citizens were questioned for knowledge and opinions on science-related issues. One section of the research was devoted to perceptions of genetically modified foods. The results show that the more educated people are on GE foods, the more they are concerned about health and environmental impacts. It also shows that Europeans overwhelmingly want to be more informed and able to chose what they eat.
