Job Description

 

DESCRIPTION: The Development Research Intern will develop a keen knowledge of the environmental, agricultural and trade related funding opportunities in Minnesota, the United States, and Europe. This position provides research and reporting to the Director of Development and Communication to support IATP’s fund development in service of expanding our work on trade, food, and climate change.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify individual donor prospects and methods for contacting 
  • Create a comprehensive donor prospect report based on individual donor research
  • Assist with creating materials to invite individuals to engage with IATP
  • Assist staff with development reports as needed

START DATE: Immediately or Fall Semester 2018

LOCATION: Work can be done in the office or remotely. Weekly, in-person check in meetings, as well as periodic progress reports/meetings are required.

DURATION: 10 hours per week for one semester.  Based on the progress of the project, the internship may extend beyond this time frame. 

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS: Current college students or graduate students are encouraged to apply. Applicants should have experience doing independent research and demonstrate proficiency in using search terms, excel spreadsheets, and databases.
