History: Burma's Patents and Designs Act of 1945 has still not entered into force. Under this, India's Patents and Designs Act of 1911 remained in effect in Burma. However, when India adopted her Patent Act in 1970, the 1991 Act was repealed and Burma has not provided for the recognition of patents filed in India under the 1970 Act.
